In 2012, the IMS Institute for Healthcare Informatics and the World Health Organization were invited to contribute preparatory material for a closed meeting of over 30 Ministers of Health hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. As part of this effort, the IMS Institute developed a technical report, “The responsible use of medicines: Applying levers for change,” as a public service without funding from any public or private sector entity.
